DNA loves... Arsene Welkin

Arsène is a self-taught painter and musician born in 1993 in Paris. He grew up in the small pottery village of La Borne, then spent his adolescence in the ancient city of Arles before returning to study philosophy in Paris.

His pictorial work is a quest for simplicity and contemplation, representing people, real or imagined, often surrounded by symbols, plants and animals.

Imbued with the local culture, Arsène pays particular attention to bullfighting. Back in the city of arenas, yellow and blue, he began a residency at the Maison Close. His new characters therefore take place in a traditional decor marked by a Camargue color.
